Fırat İşbecer (Lead)

İşbecer, who is a graduate of Robert College of Istanbul, received his master's degree on" geopolitics" which is the joint program of Universite Paris-Sorbonne and Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris. He is the co-founder of Pozitron. In 2014, following the acquisition of Pozitron by Monitise, a London-based company, İşbecer became the Monitise MEA region COO, executing the company’s operations and sales activities in the Middle East and Africa.

Melih Ödemiş

Ödemiş, who completed his MBA in Boğaziçi University, founded yemeksepeti.com in 2000 with his partners. Having been the co-founder and IT manager until June 2013, Melih Ödemiş resides still at yemeksepeti.com as a partner and executive board member.

Murat Kantarcı

Murat Kantarcı, who established MUKA Metal in 1966, started to export to 60 countries in 5 continents in the last 10 years by producing patient care bedsteads and stretchers. In September 2015, Muka Metal’s Latin America distributor since 2012, Styrker Corporation from the US took over all the shares of the company. Thus, Styrker Corporation made its largest acquisition in Turkey.

Kurtuluş Eker

He founded his first agency in 2005 and Voden in 2007. He has implemented more than 1000 projects specifically in the fields of banking and finance, telecom, fast consumption, mobile/internet technologies, digital marketing communication, user experience, automotive, retail, media and consumer electronics sectors. In 2015, he executed one of the important agreements of the Turkish advertising sector and incorporated Voden, which he founded, into Leo Burnett affiliated with Publicis Groupe. Currently, he is the head of the Agency in Voden.

Görkem Oktay

With 11 years of experience in banking and 5 years in venture capital management, Görkem Oktay founded Mora Capital in 2016. In addition to his investments in corporate life, he has made numerous initiatives both at home and abroad in the fields of technology and internet as an angel investor and founding partner. He received his MBA degree from Stanford University and his undergraduate degree from Middle East Technical University, Department of Economics.

Arif Akdağ

Arif Akdağ began his career at Arthur Andersen, initially at the Moscow/Russia office and continued at the Almaty/Kazakhstan office. Since 1992 and for 6 years, he has been involved in the establishment of Arthur Andersen’s financial consultancy offices and the planning of financial auditing, tax and legal operations in Russia and Kazakhstan. After leaving Arthur Andersen, Arif Akdağ managed various companies in the real estate, manufacturing, food, foreign trade and maritime sectors and carried out investments in many other sectors.

Umur Özal

Umur Özal has an extensive history regarding venture capital, corporate finance and management consultancy and he manages an international portfolio by actively providing consultancy in investment strategies and instruments. Earlier, he worked as a senior executive in Capital Partners, Fynergy Consulting, Stars of Europe venture capital fund and Oger Telecom. Prior to joining Oger Telecom, he was Country Manager for strategy and management consulting firm Schmid Preissler Strategy Consultants GmbH and project finance organization Fieldstone Private Capital Partners. Umur holds a BS and MS degrees in production engineering from Boston University.

Av. Semra Sarı

Sarı & Kılıç Law Firm was established in Istanbul in 1990 under the partnership of Hüseyin Sarı and Semra Kılıç Sarı, whose main practice areas are litigation and enforcement law. The founding partners have been performing their jobs uninterruptedly for more than twenty-five years in the Turkish judicial system. In 1990, they established a legal infrastructure and collection system with Boyner Holding for store cards and dealt with a large number of debt proceedings in the country. In addition to this project, they have conducted an uninterrupted work on the follow-up of secured and unsecured receivables with the banks. These references led the office to gain the ability to follow up on debts that are both secured and unsecured and can be expressed in very high numbers.

Merve Gürel

Merve Gürel studied economics and political science and graduated from Yale University in 2012. After graduation, she worked in the management consultancy branch as an analyst in the New York office of McKinsey & Company for 2 years. During these years she worked with global corporations in finance and pharmaceutical sectors and several NGO’s by taking part in various projects including organizational configuration, operational efficiency enhancement, growth strategies, business plan formations and supply-demand modeling.

After returning to Turkey in 2014, she started working at the family owned company ENSO Holding. Within the companies Iltekno and Cantaş, operating in the energy and cooling sectors respectively, she worked in all departments and she is still active as a board member in both companies.
